Must Read in 2014

Alright, I'll do it.  Every year I know I have that To Be Read list on Goodreads, but I've never set a yearly goal for myself.

Sure, I've immersed myself in #bookaday during the summer or during vacations from school.  But this will be new.  I must conquer that book stack that is taking over my house!

Thank you to Carrie Gelson for inviting me to participate in Must Read in 2014!  You can find information about #mustreadin2014 and links to other bloggers at: http://thereisabookforthat.com/2014/01/02/mustreadin2014/

Also, the book nerd community of Indianapolis has an awesome event happening on Twitter this year, too.  You can find it at #Read26Indy.  The goal is to read 26 books, of whatever genre or length, and post about the titles using the hashtag #Read26Indy.

  1. Paper Towns and Goose Girl are two of my favorites! And I didn't know Rainbow Rowell had a new book coming. Just added it to my list! Thanks!

    1. Franki, Yay! I am so looking forward to reading those two, also. You'd think I would have read all of John Green's books, seeing that he's a local author! And yes, I am looking forward to "Landline" also! Thanks for your comments!

  2. We have many similar titles on our lists! Will be fun to discuss. I am seriously missing Fangirl characters which was my first 2014 read. Love Goose Girl I have read all of the books in this series. Shannon Hale is amazing. So happy you are joining us!

    1. Thanks, Carrie! I am looking forward to chatting with you about these titles! I adored the Fangirl characters. I kind of wish they could have their own series. :)

  3. Looks like a good list! I'm reading The Secret Garden right now. I never read it as a kid, but have always loved the story. There are lots of books that I didn't read as a kid, that I'm reading!! Love it!

    1. Oh, I LOVE The Secret Garden. It was my favorite book as a child and might still be. I remember crying when my mom was finished reading it to me for the first time because I loved it so much. I think it's great that you are reading older books! I reread The Great Gatsby and Catcher in the Rye last year for that very reason. Keep me updated!
